I’m the co-founder of Hoozens, a video agency. Started in San Francisco, and moved it to Portland in 2020. Prior to Hoozens, I was President of London-based Wooshii Video Agency in the US, leading Wooshii’s US clients and growth in the company’s largest market, and SVP for StudioNow, a hybrid video technology & scaled video production company.
I’ve built a client list of Fortune 500 companies and gotten a ton of broad business leadership experience. My projects & producers have won numerous awards & recognition, clients I’ve signed include Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, IBM, Ogilvy Entertainment, Verizon, Moxie Interactive, Procter & Gamble, McGarryBowen, HP Inc., L'Oreal Paris, R/GA, FCB, Toyota, Saatchi & Saatchi, Kia, Initiative, Hyundai, CafeMom, AOL, Huffington Post, Red Bull, Experian & The Martin Agency.
As Senior Vice President for StudioNow (2010-2019), I was responsible hyper-creative, execution-focused group of video producers, creatives and production resources. I had teams onsite at Coca-Cola, Bridgestone, PwC, HP and McDonald’s, started up studios and managed client relationships in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Nashville, & Chicago. Building teams of top talent and coaching them to success was my specialty. Coca-Cola Studios won over 40 Tellys during my time there and the CFO said during my time at Coca-Cola, “Ben Tyson is the best operator I’ve ever seen” — which I took as a great compliment.
In my TV days, I led TV Development for Nashville-based Taillight Television, pitching & producing series & specials for cable networks. I spent my 20's in broadcast comedy development at ABC & Fox in Los Angeles, developing and producing comedy series (hard work but an absolute blast). I learned the art of dealmaking at the ICM Agency in TV Lit & Packaging, technology development at Ticketmaster.com as product manager, and “don’t take no for an answer” while launching 30 new CitySearch cityguides in 1 year after Princeton.
